1In the app or on the web
Open zakar on Android or iPhone, or sign in at use.myzakar.app in any browser. Go to Settings → Account & plan (on the web: Settings → Account), choose Delete account…, type DELETE and confirm. You may be asked to sign in again first.
2Can't sign in? Request it here
Enter the email address on your account and we'll email you a link to confirm. Your account and all its data are deleted automatically 30 days after you confirm. Until then you can keep it: use the link in our email, or simply sign in to zakar.
Used Sign in with Apple with Hide My Email? Enter that relay address, or write to hello@myzakar.app.
3What is deleted
Every note (including locked, archived and trashed notes, and anything attached to them), your profile and settings, your encryption key, your sign-in account, what our server keeps for it (push addresses, email history, your email-to-note address), and your app usage statistics. If you used Sign in with Apple, zakar's access to your Apple ID is revoked. Residual copies leave our encrypted backups within 30 days.
4What is kept, and for how long
Free-trial record: a one-way hash of your sign-in identity, with the date your free trial started and your AI action count, so a new account can't restart the trial. It holds no notes and no readable email, and it is kept while zakar runs.
Billing records: purchases made through Google Play, the App Store or our web checkout stay with those stores, Stripe and RevenueCat for as long as financial regulations require.
Support messages you sent us: email hello@myzakar.app and we delete these too.
5Subscriptions
Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play, your Apple Account settings, or Settings → Plan & billing on the web.
